One of them is the issue of starting a new electronic system of asset declarations for public officials. At the request of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, UNDP's Enhanced Public Sector Transparency and Integrity Project has developed new software to initiate this system and make the declaration procedure user-friendly.

During the presentation, the judges and the personnel of the Supreme Court of Ukraine learned about the new system and the rules for filling in the electronic declaration forms.

The NAPC will check the declarations, while persons who submitted false information or failed to submit a declaration will bear not only administrative, but also criminal responsibility,'' summed up the key features of the new system Dmytro Kotliar, expert of the World Bank and UNDP.

The new electronic asset declaration system consists of 16 information blocks covering, in particular, real estate, construction in progress, valuable movable and immovable property, securities, corporate rights, intangible assets, and legal entities whose ultimate beneficiary is the subject of the declaration or his/her family members.

"The NAPC has been recently registered as a legal entity, and the Government has approved the maximum number of personnel for the NAPC Secretariat. We are starting to recruit employees for the Agency's Secretariat. A lot of work is yet to be done, but Ukraine will shortly get a powerful system of corruption prevention," summarized Ruslan Riaboshapka, member of the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption.
