CALL FOR PROPOSALS “STRENGTHENING CAPACITIES OF CSO HUBS NETWORK MEMBERS TO SUPPORT THE YOUTH WORKERS CIVIC INITIATIVES”

UNDP is announcing a Call for Proposals to solicit proposals from the members of CSO hubs Network interested in strengthening their capacity in providing technical support in the implementation of the experimental initiatives of youth and youth CSOs under CSDR project through a Small Grants Programme.

The submission deadline is 26 August 2019.

The purpose of the grant is to strengthen the capacity of the selected CSO to implement small grants programmes which may significantly contribute to the financial sustainability of the CSO hub as well as strengthen the relationships with subnational civils society organizations and initiative groups. It is expected that through the support of civic initiatives of youth workers/CSOs with expert guidance and support from UNDP the CSO hub will improve the following capacities:

a) Institutional capacity for grant award management, comprising a framework/system for undertaking grant proposal evaluation, due diligence and appropriate governance, and risk management (including composition and terms of reference of the grant award evaluation committee);

b) Financial resources management and systems, including analysis of granting portfolio;

c) Programmatic capacity, including monitoring and evaluation;

d) Capacity to assess and manage risk, including safeguarding people and the environment from harm;

e) Procurement and supply management procedures with clearly defined responsibilities and applicable templates for assessing the eligibility and capabilities of potential grant recipients;

f) Transparency, including systems and processes to make information on grant recipients public.
