Against the historic background of Kamianets-Podilsky Castle in Khmentysky Oblast, young local government workers from around Ukraine gathered for the opening of the Youth Capital Forum 2019 on 13 September 2019, where they discussed ways to improve youth policy and create an enabling environment for young people.
UNDP Resident Representative Dafina Gercheva was there to welcome attendees. Don't miss out on a forum workshop on youth economic empowerment and the labour rights of young people, which UNDP organised together with the Khmelnytsky CSO hub ''Podil Law League.''
Ahead of the forum, Gercheva met with Kamianets-Podilsky Mayor Mykhaylo Simashkevych.
The two-day forum is a strategic initiative that brings young women and men, youth workers, civic activists, local authorities and people from different walks of life together with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and other development partners to discuss the future of Ukraine, and the role of young people in building a prosperous and resilient society.
