
6 September 2018, Lviv. More than 80 civic activists, public servants from local self-government bodies and journalists learned about the OGP Action Plan tasks and brainstormed how to improve usage of the OGP instruments at the local level.
“Ukrainian Government and the civil society can build effective partnerships for using modern technologies in a way that best serves citizens. We encourage civil society organizations and state bodies to jointly cooperate on the Open Government Action Action Plan 2018-2020 implementation”, stressed Marcus Brand at Lviv Regional Open Government Partnership (OGP) Forum.
The Forum was organized by Lviv-based NGO “Center for Women’s Perspectives”, which belongs to the CSOs-hubs network, with the financial support of Danish MFA.
Ukraine joined the Open Government Partnership Initiative in 2011. Recently, 4th Open Government Action Plan 2018-2020 is being finalized by Ukrainian Government following close consultations with the civil society. For the first time, the key the OGP commitments have been aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
