Youth workers learnt how to develop joint advocacy initiatives on civic education

20 youth workers from all the corners of Ukraine are being trained to develop joint advocacy initiatives on civic education during the third module of the long-term specialized course "Civic Education for Youth Workers", developed with UNDP support. Training took place on August 26-29, 2018 in Poltava.

"Practical tools on how to implement the civic education initiatives have significantly enhanced my capacity, as a youth worker, to promote engagement of young people into decision-making at local and regional level. And that’s especially important in view of the decentralization reform", says Serhiy Mitrokhin from Severodonetsk-based NGO "Foundation "Space".

"For those youth workers who have graduated from the basic training and work every day with young people, it is very important to continue learning at the specialized training. I am convinced that incorporation of the human rights based approach and respect for diversity into youth policies will help to create an integrated youth environment in Ukraine", - believes Yaryna Voloshyn from Lviv-based Center for Youth Initiatives "Krok".
