Two core lessons National Agency on Corruption Prevention learned from Romanian counterparts

UNDP Ukraine through its cooperation with RoAid is continuing its ongoing support to the National Agency on Corruption Prevention by enabling a group of NACP practitioners to immerse themselves into experiences and lessons learned from Romania.

office-1209640 960 720The study tour organized for 12 NACP representatives, amongst them Deputy Chairman, Mr. Rouslan Radetsky, runs from 4 until 7 October and is concentrated on two core issues: financial monitoring (i.e. the asset declaration regime) and conflict of interest prevention and management.

Yesterday's 6 hours' worth of intensive Q&A were spent with the National Integrity Agency (Agentia Nationala de Integritate) and Ministry of Justice partners. Legal conundrums, loopholes, practitioner tips, and smart strategies – all part of the valuable experience-sharing exercise.

Today the group is heading off to the National Anti-Corruption Directorate and tracing asset investigation cases all the way to court.

Surprises in store? Sure – a sneak preview session dedicated to ANI's digital asset declaration processing system and e-case management and a mini-expert forum to discuss asset declaration regime enforcement in the country. Stay tuned for more updates from the "Declare and Prevent" tour.
