Kyiv, 21 March 2016 – A new Open Government Partnership (OGP) Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM) report on Ukraine finds that despite recent political turmoil, notable progress has been made in passing laws to improve access to government held information. However, more efforts are needed to improve government accountability.

On 1 November, Chasopys Creative Space hosted the final meeting of grantee organizations in the thematic area "Support of civil society as the engine of democracy and good governance," organized by CCC Creative Center in the framework of UNDP project "Democratization and human rights in Ukraine," funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
Ukraine has only made slight progress in fulfilling its international obligations of government transparency, with only 55 percent of the Open Government Partnership's action points being satisfied after one year.
