Which qualities one should have to protect human rights? Knowledge, motivation, patience and respect for human dignity are the key requirements listed by the Commissioner’s regional coordinators and representatives.
We have compiled a small number of stories about the ways in which the Commissioner’s network has helped people in different regions of Ukraine. They represent just a fraction of the work done by the Commissioner’s regional network despite their heavy workload and often challenging working conditions, almost always under psychological pressure.
These brief stories summarize months of thorough work, seemingly routine correspondence with civil servants and the nerves of steel of true professionals. The human rights work of the Commissioner’s regional coordinators and representatives not only restores people’s human rights, it wins back the trust in Ukraine as a functioning State.
